About the North Metro Corridor EIS: In August 2006, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Regional
Transportation District (RTD) initiated the North Metro Corridor EIS.
The RTD FasTracks North Metro Corridor is a proposed 18-mile rail transit
corridor between Denver Union Station and 162nd Avenue, passing through
Denver, Commerce City, Thornton, At the public scoping meetings in September 2006, numerous comments were received from stakeholders in the corridor. In response to this input, additional alternatives are now under consideration. The quantitative results summary of scoping comments can be seen here. Would you like to see what occurred and what is happening now? If so, the project team has created a “virtual scoping meeting” that provides an overview of the FasTracks program; a description of the proposed action, EIS process, and basic engineering tasks; and a summary of the public scoping meetings held on September 27 and 28, 2006.
